Trading and pricing
While a token is on the curve, its price follows a constant-product formula. Every buy moves the price up and every sell moves it down. The price you see is the live curve price.
Buying and selling
- Buy: you send the pair asset (ETH unless the launch uses another) and receive tokens. You set a maximum slippage, and the transaction fails if the result is worse than that.
- Sell: you send tokens and receive the pair asset (ETH unless the launch uses another). The first time you sell a token, your wallet asks you to approve it.
Terms
| Price | The current curve price for one token. |
| Market cap | Price multiplied by the full supply. |
| Price impact | How much worse than the current price your trade fills, before fees. Above 5% the trade panel warns you, above 15% you confirm it first, and above 50% the trade is refused: buy less. |
| Slippage | The most movement between quote and execution that you accept. |
| Raised | The ETH held by the curve for buyers to sell back into. |
